NASEO's Annual Meeting will be held this September 15-18, 2019 in beautiful Manhattan Beach. The meeting will feature insights from experts across a variety of issues related to this year’s theme: Building a Clean Energy Economy for Everyone, and will provide peer learning opportunities for State Energy Offices and other participants. The Meeting will also host tours of local energy spaces in the area, like the Innovation Campus of La Kretz, the clean tech incubator.
California has always been a leader in state energy policy. Recent energy milestones include: requiring new homes to have solar power starting in 2020; directing 40% of the state’s EV investment toward disadvantaged communities; and awarding $31 million last month to clean energy entrepreneurs. At the NASEO Annual Meeting, we will learn how the California Energy Commission supports these ambitious policies, and will explore opportunities to build a clean energy economy across the country.
