NASEO is pleased to announce Edison International's Pedro J. Pizarro and California Air Resources Board's Mary D. Nichols as 2019 Annual Meeting keynote speakers. Both presenters will provide comments on the first full day of our meeting, September 16, 2019. NASEO is delighted to include Mr. Pizarro as opening keynote, and Ms. Nichols as luncheon keynote. We look forward to their remarks on state energy and environmental actions and more, as they welcome meeting attendees, including State Energy Officials, Affiliate members, representatives from the public and private sector, and federal agencies among others. Pedro J. Pizarro is President and Chief Executive Officer of Edison International, the parent company of Southern California Edison (SCE). Edison International is the parent company of Edison Energy, a portfolio of businesses providing commercial and industrial customers with energy management services. He is a member of Edison International’s board of directors. Read more here.
Mary D. Nichols is the Chair of the California Air Resources Board, where she occupies the attorney seat. She has served on the Board under Governor Edmund Brown, Jr. (1975–82 and 2010–18), Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (2007–2010) and Governor Gavin Newsom (2019–present). She also served as California’s Secretary for Natural Resources (1999–2003), appointed by Governor Gray Davis. Read more here.
